Booked into the Brit hotel for 3 nights beginning on Xmas Eve. When browsing the hotel on the website an agent on live chat popped up to assist my booking. I asked her if the restaurant was open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as I knew I would struggle to get a meal in the restaurants in Colmar. She assured me I could get a meal there so I booked for 3 nights. On arrival I was told at reception the restaurant was closed for Xmas! Thus hotel is in a residential area with nothing around. By now everything was closed so I called around other hotels as I didn't want to sit in my room without food or anything to drink on Xmas Eve. The guy at reception (the owner) told me if I didn't stay I would still have to pay as it wasn't his problem! I ended up staying for Xmas Eve in my room as there wasn't a bar or anywhere decent to sit! I checked out on Xmas morning and went to another hotel in Colmar! Never again! The room was basic and hotel in the middle of nowhere but would be a bit more desirable if the restaurant and bar were open to cater for customers needs.
